New Order Property ExternalNumber

Starting from API version V8Preview4, a new property IOrder.ExternalNumber has been added to the order, which stores the order number in an external system. The value of this property can be changed using the new method IEditSession.ChangeOrderExternalNumber.

The ExternalNumber property can now be used to build OLAP reports on sales for orders that have come to the front from external systems. The value of ExternalNumber is displayed in the Sales Report in the “External Order Number” column.
